just to give the guys in the area a heads up. just recently i took a stroll back to the pits at lancaster, well yeah they havent done anything. no sand drag track no loads of rocks no extra trails in the woods. nothing. i also had the chance to talk to a track director of some sort. he happened to say that the july 18th event was 99% cancelled. he went on saying the funds for the events arent being gathered and that there just isnt wenough funds. he also went on and said that this whole season there is probably a wash. i went back there with the intent to get some footage of the work and what i found was distguisting. no work and cancelling events due to rain? just let us fans know and well find something else to do that day in advance . rather waiting 3 days or the day of the events to find out. anyhow just a heads up Mad

Thanks for running your mouth that helps the track. I will let you guy know more when I know more. I would have been out there more this year but had way to much shit going.

not my fault the way things are run there. yeah funny thing i wa there wednesday to. thats when i was told 18th is cancelled. sorry to speak the truth in the. but this is not the only time people are concerned about how things go there. i believe pppl commented in the june 27th event to, all I'm asking for and I'm sure everyone else is, just some info on whats really going on. i was told it was funds, i asked a track personal so dont blame me blame the crew. anyhow thanks for responding here. i have tried emailing a few ppl that have there e mail from the track. got no response. it came to this and now i got an answer. i even tols the track guy that ppl were concerned about lancaster events. all i ever did was try to help bring ppl to the events. its a good time and dont want to see it stop. millsbuilt is my youtube channel and i have a lot of lancaster events there, youll see I'm not just bashing, just concerned

Read your first post and tell me you that's not bashing they have things going 6 out of 7 days a week things are crazy there and we are the littlest pic of the pie. Thats how it is and we have to deal with it. if no one cuts the grass there it looks like no one has been there in years. So have a half glass full attitude and we will be fine. Hope to have a good year there and would like to do a more rock race type run there like u start at rock run them then woods some of the mud then back over the rocks. It will take some work and the racer will have to be corner guys but it would be fun. It would be set up for stock to super mod.

On another forum one of the sponsors is a member and i know they have also emailed offering support. For the events, clean up and or prep. If you need any help just say so and ill be there. Right now I'm not working so i'm available. I am relieved to hear you say its on for the 18th. As this is the closest place to me to wheel. Not too sure how my stock type tj will do but ill have fun regardless.

You'll do fine. DTORP has something for everyone, and keep the stock guys in mind.

I will have my truck there on the 18th.

A lot of rain came down today. I wonder if DTRP has ever thought about running "swamp buggy" races like they do down in Florida?

Many of us have offered, more than once, our time to help get things ready and to also maintain the trails. We've contacted them via e-mail, phone, thru the 'comments' section of their website, and/or talking to Tony in person.

However, they try to be as self sufficient as possible -- and really only work with a handful of other non-DTRP people in this regard. 1tonzuk has volunteered a lot of his time last year not only pulling rigs out of the mud pits, but also prepping and running the rock course. He also has a group of friends (who are involved in this club, but very rarely post) that have helped them in the past as well.

Having been there numerous times, I can tell you that the place doesn't drain well at all -- and that's probably an understatement. With all that standing water, the trucks can't get back there to deliver the rocks -- which is probably why it looks like they haven't done anything. It's also basically impossible to "maintain" anything when everything is under water.

I am hoping as much as anyone that they are able to get this squared away, but I'm just trying to be as patient as possible because there is basically nowhere locally to wheel, so we need to be supportive and understanding of everything that's going on -- regardless of how frustrating it might be.

In defense to the guy commenting on the park not happening. My father drag races there every week and was told that they were cancelling the mud bog/off road stuff! This came right from a few track officials there. I also heard with my own ears similiar things while eating lunch with my father and some of his friends that are very involved with the track, that there are people at the track involved that are not interested in the Off road part of it. I tend to believe these people are giving out the wrong info. because of there dislikes of these typs of events.

You have to understand that some people still see the glass 1/8th full.

I'm not sure what this half full 1/8th empty stuff is. like i said I'm just repeating what the track officials said to me. . so with that said if my comments are truly out of line then i just wont comment on any events i know of thats this is a forum for info and thats what I'm doing.
